Fairway Insider Frequently Asked Questions



Q. What is Fairway Insider? 

A. Fairway Insider is a loyalty program for Fairway shoppers. Customers who sign up can enter their phone number every time they shop to receive special discounted pricing and accrue points toward rewards. Insiders may also receive exclusive offers and other foodie-friendly information including new products and recipes. 

 

Q. Who can enroll in the Fairway Insider loyalty program 

A. Anyone with a valid phone number and email address can enroll. It’s quick and easy. Customers can enroll online at fairwaymarket.com. Marketing materials such as in-store signs, printed circulars, flyers, and register receipts will also have QR codes to drive customers to the Fairway website where they can register for an account. Customers without access to the internet can ask a guest services attendant to help them enroll with an in-store device.  

 

Q. When I enroll in Fairway Insider, will I receive a physical card? 

A. You will not receive a physical card. Simply provide your phone number to the cashier or at the self-checkout registers when you begin your checkout. 

 

Q. What are the benefits of Fairway Insider membership? 

A. Fairway insiders may receive exclusive discounted “insider” pricing, accrual of points toward loyalty rewards, first responder and student discounts, delivery discounts, and notification of exclusive offers, new items, recipes, and more!  

 

Q. Can I still get great deals at Fairway if I don’t want to sign up for Fairway Insider? 

A. Fairway offers low prices and great value every day, so being a Fairway Insider is not required, but Insiders will receive additional discounts and offers, plus points on every purchase.

Q. If I already use Fairway digital coupons, will I be automatically enrolled in Fairway Insider? 

A. Yes, anybody who already downloads our digital coupons already has a Fairway account, and therefore will already be a member of Fairway Insider.  

 

Q. How do I accrue points toward rewards? What do I get with my points?  

A. Points are accrued every time you shop. For every dollar you spend at Fairway, you earn one point. For example, in a typical promotional period, 500 points will earn you a $5 or $10 savings certificate off your next order (promotion thresholds and coupon values are subject to change). Rewards in the form of “savings certificates” will be printed at the bottom of your register receipt.   

 

Q. Do my points ever expire? 

A. Points may expire, depending on the parameters of the active program.  

 

Q. How do I redeem my Savings Certificate(s)? Do Savings Certificates expire? 

A. Savings certificates must be redeemed in-store and used before the printed expiration date. To redeem, present the printed savings certificate to a cashier or self-checkout attendant before your order is completed. Once a savings certificate is redeemed, the accrual points required to earn that certificate (in this example, 500 points) will be subtracted from your points bank.  

 

Q. Can I redeem more than one certificate in a single transaction? 

A. Yes, you can redeem more than one certificate in one transaction, as long as the certificates have not expired. 

 

Q. Can other family members use my membership? 

A. Family members that provide the phone number linked to your account may use the account. 

 

Q. If I enroll in Fairway Insider, will I be targeted with marketing emails? text messages? direct mail?  

A. Customers who enroll in Fairway Insider will not only receive great deals and exclusive offers, but they may also receive notifications of special offers, new items, recipes and fun foodie facts from Fairway. Marketing material may be delivered in the form of emails, texts or direct mail.  Customers can opt out of receiving emails by going to My Account Settings > Preferences > Communications > Fairway. They can also select Digital Receipts & Offers under Preferences to update text, mail and digital receipt preferences.  

 

Q. How often will marketing material will be delivered to me? 

A. Customers may receive up to 10 emails per month notifying them of exclusive offers and great deals. 

 

Q. If I am a Fairway Insider but I forget to give the cashier (or customer if at SCO) my phone number, what do I do?   

A. If the order has already been completed, items that are Fairway Insider priced must be returned and re-rung using your Insider account phone number to get Insider pricingA Guest Services Associate can determine if points can be adjusted within your account.  

 

Q. How can I check how many points I have accrued 

A. Our system will keep track of every account’s accrued points. Customers will see their balance at the bottom of their register receipt every time they shop. Customers can also check points by logging into their account at fairwaymarket.com and navigating to the “View My Points” page, or clicking “Check Points” when logged into the Fairway app. Customers can also use our in-store kiosks or provide their phone number to a Guest Services Associate to check their points.  

 

Q. What if I move or change my phone number or email address – how do I update my Fairway Insider account? 

A. Customers can change their account information by logging into their Fairway account and going to My Account Settings > Personal Information. 

 

Q. What are you doing with my information/data? Does Fairway sell my data to 3rd parties? What is your privacy policy? 

A. Wakefern Food Corp. and all of its subsidiaries, affiliates, members and brands (including Fairway Markets) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. You can view our privacy policy at Fairway (fairwaymarket.com). 

 

Q. What if I want to cancel my membership? 

A. To completely cancel an account, customers may call 1-800-746-7748 or in the Fairway app go to More (lower right corner) > Delete My Account.  

 

Q. What about cross-shopping? Can I use other Wakefern loyalty cards (such as Price Plus club card) at Fairway? 

A. Coupons will work across banners but points will not.  Loyalty cards from other stores that are part of the Wakefern Cooperative (including ShopRite, The Fresh Grocer, Price Rite Marketplace, Gourmet Garage and Dearborn Market) can be used at Fairway stores to receive Fairway Insider discounts. Promotional loyalty points accrued from other stores (such as the ShopRite Thanksgiving points) cannot be transferred to Fairway loyalty programs, and vice versa. Digital coupons can only be clipped and redeemed once per account/phone number, regardless of banner.  

 

  1. Q. Will my Fairway Insider account work with the Mobile Checkout? Will I get the same discounts? 

A. Fairway Insider members who use Mobile Checkout will receive Fairway item discounts but cannot redeem digital coupons or accumulate points toward rewards at this time. We hope to have digital coupons and points accrual through mobile checkout activated this year.  

 

Q. What about Instacart? Can I use my Fairway Insider membership for Instacart/Delivery services? Do I get the same discounts and points accrual?  

A. Instacart shoppers that link their Fairway account to their Instacart account will get Fairway Insider discounts and also accumulate points toward rewards. Savings certificates however cannot be redeemed through Instacart. They can only be redeemed at a Fairway store, either at a staffed or self-checkout lane.
